Benefits Related Free School Meals

The government have started a scheme to provide vouchers for families who are entitled to benefits-related free school meals. All Liverpool Schools have been instructed to register and use this scheme. Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals. Unfortunately this is not covered by the government scheme. It is only for families entitled to benefits-related free school meals. (More information can be found on the links below.) The school has been provided with a list by Liverpool City Council and Knowsley Council of the eligible children in our school. These names were added to the government scheme two weeks ago and the first set of weekly eCodes would have been delivered to qualifying email addresses last week. If you still have not received yours, please check your junk folder as the system shows that all have been sent.

If you have not applied for benefits-related free school meals before, but believe you are entitled to them, please use the link below to your home council to make an application.

If you are successful you should be added to the weekly list that we are supplied with. To speed the process up, can you also email Mrs Leahey at admin1@paschalbaylon.org.uk with evidence or a screen shot which includes your name to show that you have been accepted. This will also provide us with the required email address so that you can then be added to the Edenred Government FSM Scheme immediately and you can receive the next set of vouchers that you would be entitled to.

When you receive the email with the eCode, this eCode is then redeemed online to buy a voucher for one of the participating supermarkets. It is this voucher that is then used to buy the food, not the original eCode within the email.

If you are having problems please contact the school using Mrs Leahey’s email address, which has been provided above.
