Live Simply

Our school is currently working towards the Live Simply Award, an initiative that encourages communities to live more sustainably, act in solidarity with others, and deepen their sense of social responsibility. This award will enable our school community to live, not just more simply, but also more fully. As part of this journey, our children are exploring ways to care for the environment, support those in need and make thoughtful choices in their daily lives.

An introduction to Live Simply

We started our LiveSimply journey by introducing the ‘LiveSimply Award’ to our whole school community.

Global Actions

International Day of Peace

To mark International Day of Peace we wrote prayers for our global family and thought of how we can make our world a peaceful place.

Local Actions

Litter Picking

Inspired by ‘Laudato Si’, our children went litter picking. We all have a role to play in protecting the Earth for future generations, and we are responsible for keeping it clean, safe and beautiful!

Supporting our local homeless shelter

We supported The Whitechapel Centre by collecting non-perishable food items that will help those experiencing homelessness.

We also supported our local food bank.

Choir Visit

Our school choir enjoyed a very special visit to a local care home, where they performed a selection of Christmas carols for the residents. The children sang beautifully and brought great joy to everyone who listened, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere full of Christmas spirit. It was wonderful to see the older generation singing along, smiling, and sharing in the celebrations. The visit was a lovely opportunity for our pupils to connect with the local community and spread kindness through music.
School Action
On World Book Day, R.E.Action Group helped to organise our whole-school book swap. The children enjoyed choosing a pre-loved book to take home and read.
