SPB Support Sustainability
At St. Paschal Baylon School, we are committed to supporting sustainability. We aim for our children to grow and develop into active global citizens of the future. We learn about the Sustainable Development Goals and how we can support them.
Sustainable Soldiers
Our Sustainable Soldiers group was established in 2018. We meet every fortnight on Thursdays at 12.30pm (Year 3 classroom). Our aim is to ‘get the message out there’ about the Sustainable Development Goals and how we can support them. A regular task of the team is to choose the ‘Goal of the Month’ which often compliments an event or ‘World Day’ and is then highlighted through activities or an assembly.
Sustainable Mascot
We held a competition to design a ‘sustainable mascot’. We had some fantastic entries and our chosen winner was ‘Gertie Goals’. Here she is:
Sustainable song
Back in 2018, our Sustainable Soldiers wrote a song called ‘Sustainable Now, Together, Forever!’ With the help of a parent, who is a music teacher, the song was recorded!
