World Teachers’ Day
On Thursday 5th October, we celebrated World Teacher Day to show respect and appreciation for all of the wonderful teachers in our school, who work so hard for us! As you already know, Article 28 states that ‘All children have the right to an education’. However, there are children in different parts of the world that are being prevented from having this right.
A group of children from year 4 and 5 performed a UNICEF assembly for the whole school. The assembly focused on a teacher from Afghanistan who risked her life to educate local children, particularly girls. The children worked extremely hard and contributed their own ideas and prayers! This was another important part of our Rights Respecting Schools journey.
