Food Donation Days
Whitechapel Centre Homeless Charity
SPB’s ReAction group would like to say a huge thankyou for the donations of tins of tuna and beans brought into school (January 2020).
The Whitechapel Centre are a leading homeless and housing charity in Liverpool. They work with people who are sleeping rough, living in hostels or struggling to manage their accommodation.
All food was donated to the Whitechapel Centre and will be used to make meals for the homeless. Martin, who works at the centre, was overwhelmed by the amount of food donated and passed on his thanks to all at SPB!
Thank you to Mrs Kelly, SPB Governor, and ReAction group for organising the food donation day for such a worthwhile cause.
Foodbank Donation Day
SPB’s ReAction Group, organised a Foodbank Donation Day that took place in July. ReAction group worked alongside South Liverpool Foodbank.
South Liverpool Foodbank doesn’t think that anyone is our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why they provide three day’s nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by the Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
All children were asked to bring 1 item of food to school.
Thank you so much to all who donated for your kindness. South Liverpool were overwhelmed by the generosity of the families of St Paschal Baylon and passed on a huge thank you to all! Please click here to read the letter we received and here to view our certificate.
