Theo’s Story

Theo Clennon is a 2-year-old boy like any other, but in March 2016 his family was told that he had only weeks or months to live as he had an ETANTR Brain Tumour which was attached to his brain stem.

After the initial prognosis, and a very long week, the hospital confirmed that they had found a doctor that would be prepared to operate on the tumour. Shortly afterwards, Theo underwent a 12-hour major brain operation which removed the tumour and he started chemotherapy on the 9th May 2016, but he now needs Proton Beam Therapy which is not available in the UK to kill off the remaining cancerous cells.

Theo’s family is now raising the money needed to send Theo to the USA for the treatment, so this beautiful brave little boy has the best possible chance for a future.

On Friday 10th June our children took part in a ‘Race for Life’ event and were sponsored by friends and family to run around Court Hey Park. During the afternoon they each paid a £1 donation to watch their peers perform in our very own talent show, SPB’s Got Talent! We raised in excess of £1900! In addition to this a raffle was organised in school by the children and brought the total raised to £2000, an overwhelming amount!

On Friday 15th July, Theo’s Auntie Michelle joined us for assembly and we were delighted share this news with her. Theo’s family is overwhelmed by your kindness and generosity. We will keep you updated of Theo’s progress.
